Grandparents and Special Friends Day

We were so excited to welcome many grandparents and special friends to our classroom today.  Here are a few photos.

Author Visit

Our students were so excited to meet a real life author yesterday.  Kwame Alexander and his musician friend Randy, came to share stories, sing songs and answer questions.  Kwame, with the help of the students, read the book Surf's Up and extracts from Animal Ark.  Randy composed songs about the books and we enjoyed a lively sing-along.  Here are a few photos from the visit.
