Measuring

Today the students began learning about measurement using the metric system.  They used meter sticks to measure the length, width, and height of objects in the classroom.  During the remainder of the unit, the students will use centimeters to measure, compare measurements, and use bar models and stack math to solve real life problems involving measurement.

Molly Brown House Museum

We had a very informative trip to the Molly Brown House Museum this afternoon.  The students learned a lot about her life and how she and her family lived.  They also found out interesting information about how Molly helped others both in her own community and beyond.
